326. “I’m Blind and My Dog Has Asthma” Cartoon

August 3, 2011

Q: I’m looking for a cartoon that I believe was done by Rodrigues in National Lampoon. It was a blind man begging and holding a vacuum cleaner by the cord. His sign read: I’m blind and my dog has asthma. I still laugh out loud when I think of it.

A: Dave in the comments has posted a link to the cartoon on Facebook. The issue it appeared in, which, thanks also to Sam in the comments, was May 1981 (“Naked Ambition” issue).

I'm looking for it, too! Have you found it?? It's hilarious. Please let me know. Thanks, Rainy

I've been looking for this cartoon since I was 10 or 11, my favorite for sure. Wish I could see it again.

I don't know where it is either but I have been looking for forty years. Would make a great costume.
