26. “Dinah’s Dumper”

July 5, 1998

Q: I perused your issue guides and I can’t seem to locate any references to “Dinah’s Dumper.” It was Dinah Shore on the crapper with Burt Reynolds and a bunch of talk-show type celebrities standing around kibbitzing. Was this one of the “surprise posters”?

A: It was and it appeared in the April ’77 (Ripping the Lid Off TV) issue.

Comments

It is not listed as a "surprise poster." The contents page lists it as "Dinah's Dumper, illustrated by Julian Allen." It's done as a television soundstage put together as a bathroom, in a well-done realistic style of painting.
