141. Dead Cat Under Couch Story

February 4, 2009

Q: I’m trying to find a copy of a story I read from NL back in the late ’70s or early ’80s about a bunch of roommates that find their cat dead under the couch. If you could help me with the name of the story and the author I’d appreciate it.

A: Louis the Computer has all the answers. She says: “That story is titled ‘The Past Today: A Wake for James’. It’s by Ted Mann, and appeared in the September ’80 (The Past and How it Got There) ish.” Thanks, Louis!
